Dentistry For Children
Pediatric Dentistry
In our experience, here at JG Stein General Dentistry, you’d be surprised at how many young children already have cavities, even at three or four years old. At a child’s first checkup, we sometimes find them as well. Getting children to see a dentist at an early age can help parents and children learn about brushing, a healthy diet, and all the things you need to be doing to prevent cavities and decay of your teeth. As soon as a child has a tooth, that tooth can develop a cavity! The earlier you teach your children to use a toothbrush as part of their daily routine, the better off they will be in the long run! It is a good idea to brush your teeth as a family to get your child used to doing it. The habits and routines we establish as young children will carry on to adulthood.
